Our property ‘Dingo Bend’ may not be large, but it’s beautifully situated. It straddles Dingo Creek mid-way between Marlee and Bobin, about twenty minutes drive north west of Wingham in the hinterland of the beautiful Manning Valley on the Mid-North Coast of NSW.
Reputation and experience aren’t earned overnight. At Dingo Bend they’ve been forged over sixteen years on the back of quality that cannot be ignored. Over that time, owners Ross and Elissa Elphick and their working Kelpies have evolved Dingo Bend from fattening a few steers for Wingham Beef Exports (WBE) to breeding their own quality purebred Angus herd.
Foundation females were purchased from Kilburnie Angus, Walcha; Prime Choice Angus, Burrell Creek, Wingham and Bellevue Angus, Launceston, Tasmania. Forres Angus in Dungog contributed a bull which, in combination with selected bulls available via artificial breeding, has allowed our cow herd to evolve into an efficient and functional herd.
We don’t do much advertising. A sign at the front gate and some favourable commentary from loyal clients have been enough to ensure our excess bulls and heifers are sold direct from the property, without enduring the stress of the sale yard.
